It doesn’t change unless you approve something else. The diagnostic fee is waived when you have us do the repair.

Estimates on a new system are genuinely free: we measure the house and hand you three written options, no deposit, no pressure. A repair diagnostic is $89 because finding the fault is the actual work — and we credit it back the moment you say go. Anybody who tells you diagnosis is free is charging you for it somewhere else.

Field log
Pulled from Google, word for word.
Furnace died on the coldest night of January. Called at 11:40 at night expecting a machine and a man answered. Truck was in my driveway by one, running by two, and the bill was the same as it would have been on a Tuesday morning.
Two other companies told me I needed a whole new system. These guys found a burnt control board, replaced it for $340, and told me the unit had five or six years left in it. That’s the kind of thing you remember.
Upstairs was always eight degrees hotter than downstairs. Turned out to be duct work nobody had ever balanced. They spent an afternoon on it and my bedroom is finally usable in August.
